CELERY JUICE: Why I drink it everyday and the benefits I have experienced

I would like to call it the hottest new health trend, but it is so much more than that. I believe it is a “trend” that will stick around for a long time as more people try it, feel the benefits and share it. Which is exactly why I am writing to you about why I drink celery juice everyday; to continue to share this healing beverage in hopes others will try, heal and share as well.

Like most new health “trends”, I had read about it and why it is good for me; and sure if someone would make it for me every morning, I would probably have been more inclined to try it sooner. (just being honest) However, I do not have a personal juicer and it seemed like a lot of work to start doing everyday while I was still a bit skeptical wondering if its benefits are as powerful as described. At the time, I was struggling with having enough energy to make it through the day, and the thought of waking up earlier and adding one more thing to my “morning routine” did not sound too attractive at first.

But, as you know, if you follow me and have read my past blogs (you can read my story here if you have not), after brain surgery I was trying everything in my power to heal my body (holistically) and to feel like my strong self again. At the time I discovered celery juice, It was a little over 2 years post brain surgery, I was improving, but slowly (much slower than I would have liked) and new issues were popping up. I started having gut issues I didn’t have before, my fatigue was still debilitating at times, my skin was still breaking out, my adrenals were still drained and overall my body did not feel like it was functioning at its full potential. Having read Anthony Williams’ books (currently reading liver rescue) and really resonating with everything he says, I knew this was something I needed to make a priority.  I learned I was eating way too much fat (even healthy fat) clogging my liver and therefore interfering with my gut to be able to properly digest food. I also learned that our bodies are ladened with toxins and heavy metals everyday from our environment, food, vaccines, medications, beauty products etc. and I realized mine was as well. I had Epstein Barr in high school that I believe I never healed fully from and the medical medium says viruses such as EBV hold onto heavy metals in the body. My body had been through so much and I knew it was holding onto toxins not allowing me to fully heal. The mission was to kill off the viruses and allow my body to heal itself. Celery juice is described to help that. So, it finally got to a point where I was waking up early every morning to juice celery in hopes it would improve my health.

All information I am sharing with you today I learned through the medical medium – Anthony Williams, and my own personal experiences drinking this daily. This information is not to cure or diagnosis. This is also not a sponsored post. I just feel very passionate about this information and I want to share it with others.

Why Celery Juice:

  • Anti-inflammatory properties making it essential for those sufferings from any autoimmune illnesses
  • Loaded with mineral salts which has the ability to dislodge calcium deposits from the joints and holds them in solution until they can be eliminated safely from your kidneys. 
  • Acting as a diuretic it flushes toxins out of your body
  • Contains significant amounts of calcium and silicon which can aid in the repair of damaged ligaments and bones
  • Rich in Vitamin-a, magnesium and iron which is nourishing to the blood and aid those suffering from high blood pressure, arthritis and anemia.
  • Soothes digestion, eliminates IBS symptoms and bloating
  • Supports and stabilizes your adrenals and thyroid
  • Improves neurological issues such as brain fog, vertigo, fatigue, numbness, anxiety
  • Clears up skin issues

 

How to Celery Juice:

I started on my celery juice journey. I woke up 20 min earlier everyday to make my juice. At first I was just using a blender. I would take 2 big bunches of celery (organic), clean it, chop it (clean the leaves out, it makes it bitter), toss it into a blender on high with ¼-½ cup of water. Blend, drain through a cheesecloth or a nut bag and drink.  Since, I have upgraded to a juicer, which is probably the same amount of time, but is a bit easier. You can do either. You want to drink 16 oz on an empty stomach every morning and then wait 20 minutes before you eat anything to allow the celery juice to do it work.

Outcome:

After the first few weeks, I was not seeing any changes in my gut health, which is primarily why I started to do it. I actually was getting adverse effects and feeling worse.  I was starting to think this is a hoaks. I started to dig a little deeper and read more about it.  I then learned that at first you may experience negative side effects as the body is detoxing and getting rid of toxins in your gut. (read more about that here). Well, that made sense because I instinctively knew I had a lot to get rid of.  I wanted to stick with it. After about 2 months of religiously drinking it every morning, I started to see major improvements in my digestion. I was shocked and very happy. Everything was working as it should, no more stomach aches or bloating. There was a time in my life where those were daily occurrences. 

Then I noticed my skin was clearing up, felt so smooth and had a glow to it. I had battled dry, uneven skin toned, bumpy skin for years. I finally felt like I could leave the house without makeup and still have a glow.

Also, I do not drink any caffeine (I have never had coffee in my life) so in the mornings it can take me a little longer to wake up then the average caffeine drinker; but this celery juice was giving me so much energy, I felt like I was having caffeine.

I started to have more energy through the day, my mood was lifting. Clark even said to me one day “I feel like you have been feeling really great lately, you haven’t complained and you have a lot more energy”. That MELTED MY HEART. He was right. I was feeling SO much better, the best I have since surgery. And the only major change I had made was drinking celery juice every morning and following some other of the medical medium’s healing protocols. I felt like this drink was healing my body.

It has been about 9 months of celery juicing every morning (whenever possible – travel can cause some disturbances in availability) and I feel amazing. I will continue to do this forever. It is my morning “coffee”.

    Thank you so much for all the valuable information. I noticed that you mentioned that you thought you felt worse at first with the celery juicing. Well, I’ve had hepatitis A as a teenager and have had a compromised immune system ever since, with my liver having to always work harder than most. With that issue, my sleeping has always been an issue and have noticed that it has been worse since starting to juice😫 Do you think it’s because I’m into juicing only about a week?

      It could be because your body is detoxing more and sometimes symptoms get worse before they get better! If you are comfortable, I would stick with it for a little bit and see how you feel in a few weeks. It took me a few months to feel a positive impact!

      Thank you for reading and following my journey! It took a few months, I would say at least 6 months before I saw amazing, solid change. 3 months I started to see improvements. It could happen faster for others, everyone’s bodies are so different!

    I’ve started celery juice too. I’m a few weeks in and definitely feeling detox symptoms. You said you followed some other protocols of medical medium ? What did you incorporate? Do you think the celery juice was the main reason you feel better?

    Great Web-site – nice job! I’m taking your advice about the celery (I called it water) juice, and started looking for it. I couldn’t find any, so I called The Better Health store in Frandor and asked if they had any celery water. They said they had celery juice, not water. Ok, so I stand corrected. Any problems with using the stuff pre-made, rather than making my own? Any bad ingredients I should look for?

    Thank you for your story – I’m very happy for you! Last year I was sick all the time (I’m a kindergarten teacher) and when I wasn’t really sick in bed, I felt very run down, unmotivated, tired, my tonsills were yellow coated very often and had a sore throat all the time. A few weeks ago I had a tonsillectomy, because my tonsills were completely destroyed from all the quinsies I already had in the last years. I’m getting better every week, but I’m not my old self yet. Two weeks ago I started to drink celery juice every morning – I hope that I get better soon and that the celery juice helps boosting my immune system!
    Now I want to by a slow juicer – which juicer do you use?

    Hi, I just found your blog… I’ve only been drinking celery juice first thing in the morning for less than a week and have noticed the benefits! I’ve been having bloating issues, intestinal irritation, mood swings, skin problems, etc. In just 5 days, these issues seem to be going away. It does give me energy, I don’t feel hungry, my digestive system has settled down, the bloating is down – my pants are a lot looser lol – and it seems to relaxed me in general. I couldn’t be more impressed with the results – in just 5 days! 🙂

    I just started . 2 days my insomnia is like just gone and i feel sleepy all the time . Also my bloating goes away and i fart big all the time.. now iits my 5th day. I feel my body week and lethargic . I am thingking it might be dangerous to do everyday. Thanks for your story that it encourage me to continue and not fear.

    Hi BH,

    I have been celery juicing every morning for a month and a half with major change seen on my skin and my wife;s as we are both glowing.
    Drastic change on the skin tone and texture in my eyes indicates a lot of goodness is happening inside too as the skin in the last part of the body to record changes.

    I have been battling high BP but on that front I am yet to see benefit…My body seems to be extremely sensitive to salt which makes me think the amount of salt in celery and its juice might be still adversely playing against reducing BP.

    Seems that my gut is working better as I open my bowels more often, even though I have been experiencing some sort of bloating with my belly being a bit more rounder and tensed than usual despite the drastic change in diet, regular exercises and regular abs sessions I put my body through.

    I was doing some research on drinking celery juice as some claim it could become toxic…Also, some additional research confirmed the celery we currently see in our veggies sections in most stores are hybrid version as the original celery does not look like this at all

    Hi everyone.,
    I just wanted to add to Bethany’s post to help other readers.. I hope you don’t mind Bethany.

    I started to drink CJ as I had horrific bloating that kept me awake at nighttime for almost two years. As a “healthy” vegetarian I was perplexed as to why my guts had gotten so screwed up. Im a mother and a have a fulltime job and the sleeplessness really took its toll on my energy/moods…. I was starting to really struggle at and felt incredibly frustrated.

    I had a colonoscopy and blood test which revealed nothing. My doctor had no idea what was wrong. So I started to research online and read the positive stories of others who had tried the celery juice cure and decided to give it a go.

    I’ve been drinking celery juice as per AW’s protocol for almost 4 months now. I also drink a lemon water first thing in the morning 20mins before my CJ, and sometimes I’ll have a heavy metal detox smoothie in the afternoon.

    Celery juice (or the combination of the three drinks above) has definitely had a positive effect on my bloating & overall digestion as well as my skin and hair. It’s probably transformed my skin the most – I used to regularly get small spots but now I rarely get any. However, I found I only started to notice any benefits about three months in. My guts eventually became calmer if I drank 20-25oz of CJ rather than the 16oz I had started off drinking.
    The bloating is still there regularly, but it’s not unbearable anymore. I would say it has calmed down about 40-50% and there are also miraculous nights where I lie in bed and my guts feel at complete peace! I’ve also started to sleep better! The relief had been huge! I should add that AW recommends potatoes, papaya and avocados (amongst others) for gut health. I particularly noticed that sweet potatoes calmed my guts.

    I will continue on this health journey using the AW protocols. I’m going to try to do the 3,6,9 cleanse to detox my liver and, most of all, to reduce dairy and gluten (both of which are in food items I absolutely love so it will be difficult).
    I would recommend that anyone who has a problematic gut try lemon water first thing in the morning, followed 20mins later by a large 20oz celery juice. Try is for a few months and you’ll see some positive changes.

    I never (not yet anyway) got that energy boost from CJ that people rave about. Although I sleep better now my overall energy remains low and I’m absolutely crashing my 6pm.
