I am a Wellness Blogger, Certified Holistic Health & Wellness Coach and Reiki Certified Practitioner. I received my Health Coaching certification through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, in New York City. I am passionate about sharing my experiences and empowering individuals to shift their mindset, reclaim their power and live a life free of fear and full of love.
Before beginning my career in wellness, I graduated from Michigan State University and worked a corporate job in Human Resources. After a few years in Michigan, my dreams and ambitions took me to New York City, where I started working in the fashion industry. Although I considered myself healthy because I exercised and ate well, I was not getting enough sleep, I was obsessed with calorie counting and I was over exercising, leaving me anxious and feeling stressed all the time. The long hours, poor diet and anxiety took a toll on my body and my wellbeing.
While the city lifestyle was fun, I started to feel the effects on my mind and body. In August 2015, I had a health scare that resulted in emergency brain surgery. From that moment, my life changed. Health and wellness became my number one priority.
While healing from surgery, I realized there was a missing puzzle piece to my recovery. I had a doctor (who saved my life and I am forever grateful for!), but it stopped there. I needed someone to teach me about proper nutrition and show me lifestyle techniques that could help me through this process. After doing research and looking for natural remedies to help me heal, I discovered the missing puzzle piece—health and wellness coaching.
I was inspired to become a health coach myself, with the goal of helping others in their healing journey and inspiring them how to be their own healer. In 2017, I launched The Healthy B!
With my corporate background, I understand the demands of a career and the stress of balancing everyday responsibilities. With my own health journey, I understand the stress and anxiety of having a health trauma or a chronic health related issue. I also understand how confusing it can be to know what to eat and how to take care of yourself, in order to feel your best! What works for one person, may not work for another. It took me a long time to stop comparing myself to others and to start living my own best life.
I enjoy sharing my journey on my Instagram and blog. I love partnering with like minded brands to bring awareness to topics and products I enjoy. I provide one-on-one and group coaching to individuals all over the world. I also offer corporate speeches and wellness events.
I currently live in New York City with my husband Clark and our golden doodle Charlie.
