I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach, Content Writer, Reiki Certified Practitioner and a Wellness Blogger. I received my Health Coaching certification through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, in New York City. I am passionate about helping others achieve their best life through nutrition and lifestyle techniques. I teach my clients how to become their own healers, remove blocks, reframe their mindset and empowering them to become their best self.
Before beginning my practice in wellness, I graduated from Michigan State University and worked a corporate job in Human Resources. After a few years in Michigan, my dreams and ambitions took me to New York City, where I started working in the fashion industry. Although, I considered myself healthy because I exercised and ate well, I was not getting enough sleep, I was obsessed with calorie counting and I was over exercising, leaving me anxious and feeling stressed all the time. The long hours, poor diet and anxiety took a toll on my body and my wellbeing.
While city lifestyle was fun, I started to feel the effects on my mind and body. In August 2015, I had a health scare that resulted in emergency brain surgery. From that moment, my life changed. Health and wellness became my number one priority.
While healing from surgery, I realized there was a missing puzzle piece to my recovery. I had a doctor (who saved my life and I am forever grateful for!), but it stopped there. I needed someone to teach me about proper nutrition and show me lifestyle techniques that could help me through this process. After doing research and looking for natural remedies to help me heal, I discovered the missing puzzle piece—health coaching.
I was inspired to become a health coach myself, with the goal of helping others in their healing journey and teaching them how to be their own healer. In 2017, I launched The Healthy B!
With my corporate background, I understand the demands of a career and the stress of balancing everyday responsibilities. With my own health journey, I understand the stress and anxiety of having a health trauma or a chronic health related issue. I also understand how confusing it can be to know what to eat and how to take care of yourself, in order to feel your best! What works for one person, may not work for another. It took me a long time to stop comparing myself to others, and to start living my own best life.
I provide one-on-one coaching to individual clients based anywhere in the United States. I also offer corporate speeches and wellness events.
I currently live in New York City with my husband Clark and our golden doodle Charlie.
